| Where in the world is Yellow Ribbon? Last week, we were literally all over the state, simultaneously facilitating trainings up north in Chama and down south in Deming! Maria and Christina were honored to travel to Deming for the first time to facilitate a staff at Red Mountain Middle School, as well as a bilingual community training in Deming’s old train depot for parents/guardians, program partners and community members. Thanks to team member Adrian, who coordinated this new connection, Maria and Christina had a wonderful experience with very thoughtful, insightful and kind Red Mountain and district colleagues. We are particularly grateful to Mr. TJ Segura, Community Schools Coordinator, for hosting us and Mr. Bill Richmond, Red Mountain’s Principal, for his welcome and support. Michelle, Natalie, Anais, Lauren, Nicole, and Badi travelled to Chama for student trainings during this same week! Their trainings included all staff members at Chama Valley Independent Schools, as well as all students in grades 6-12 at Tierra Amarilla Elementary School, Chama Valley Middle-High School, and Escalante Middle-High School. We are truly grateful to Anna Atencio and to Peggy Marquez in Chama for providing us with such a warm welcome from all of their colleagues and students. “As someone who had mental health issues as a teenager, and unfortunately attempted suicide a few times, I will let you know that your training is so important for parents, educators, teens, and those who work with them. Your information is right on, and you’re doing great work. Thank you, and you make a difference!” * Yellow Ribbon Survey of School Staff |

| After completing the Yellow Ribbon training, students showed a 21-29% increase in confidence and knowledge around recognizing warning signs and helping peers-highlighting the program’s powerful impact |
Your generous support makes our work possible. Thank you!
